We will try to
keep antennas for 20,20/40 and 40/80 meters on hand and ready
to ship quickly. What about other
bands? The new dual band designs are going faster than we ever
expected so there might be some delays at times.
Generally, if ordered by Tuesday it'll be in your hands by

These antennas have twenty-two
or more
(depending on the frequency)
500
volt Silver Mica Capacitors and small
1'x1/2" circuit boards as
insulators making them strong
and able to handle a lot of wind and sun.
The wire is 'Silky' 14 AWG 19
stranded, tinned, with 40% copper-clad steel...basically the best antenna wire
we could find.
Each board has a center hole to work as a
mounting hole for those that mount it under the eaves of the QTH or
provide additional support along the antenna if
desired. These antennas can
handle 1KW DC (1.5KW PEP) easily. To see examples visit the plans page. We are asked often for antennas for other bands, like 10,
60, and 160 meters. We ran the numbers through the antenna modeler and tried
many combinations and even built a few test antennas. Bottom line - we could not come up with an antenna that
fit our standards for any bands but those we offer.
Our goal is to have something that will work on more than
one band if possible and fairly flat SWR across the band.
160 is to sharp, and 10 just has no advantages over a basic
dipole. CCDs don't work better in the form of a closed
loop. The model says there are no significant
advantages over a basic CCD. We do not make loop
versions of the CCD. This is not to say you can't
still put one up as an open loop. Just don't connect
the ends together.

simple mod available to allow you to change your antenna from a single band
to a 40 and 80 meter dual band antenna!! Just a little soldering and a
little extra wire is all that's needed!
